Ramsgate RSL Keep Cups have been introduced to help reduce the waste of disposable coffee cups.

Make a purchase of a Ramsgate RSL Keep Cup from ‘The Kitchen by Mike’s Grill’ today and contribute to this great cause. Proceeds from every cup purchased are being donated to Planet Ark to help save our planet.

The Last Straw

Ramsgate RSL have put away drinking straws in an effort to reduce plastic waste. We have replaced them with Recyclable Paper straws and will only hand them out when specifically asked for one.

Reusable Carry Bags

Ramsgate RSL have replaced single use plastic bags to reusable carry bags at our weekly raffle sessions. The reusable carry bags are made from HDPR resin and are designed to be used multiple times.

We encourage you to reuse your carry bags at our raffle sessions or recycle them at supermarket collection bins when no longer required.

Method Recycling Bins

Ramsgate RSL have introduced Method Recycling Bins to change the way we recycle and to divert waste being disposed into landfill. This initiative has empowered better waste separation amongst our team in back of house areas.

Sans Souci Community Veggie Patch

Ramsgate RSL are proud to be major sponsors of our local Sans Souci Community Veggie Patch located in Bona Park, Sandringham. The Sans Souci Community Veggie Patch’s group vision is to create a safe, welcoming place for people to meet, learn and grow an edible garden.

Paperless Office Programs

Ramsgate RSL use multiple paperless office programs to reduce our use of paper in the work environment. Not only has the reduction in paper made a significant reduction in paper sent to landfill, it has also led to the reduction of printing inks and toners being used which are damaging to our environment.

Ground to Ground

As proud sponsors of the local Sans Souci Community Veggie Patch we have now extended our partnership by collecting the Club coffee grounds and redirecting them to help our community gardens instead of going straight to landfill! Coffee grounds are known to help plant growth & deter insect infestation!

Return & Earn

Ramsgate RSL are proud to actively support the Return & Earn Scheme, returning all bottles used on site at the club. The money that is received from the scheme is donated each year to a different charity/organisation that helps promote the protection of our environment.

Lids4Kids

Ramsgate RSL are proud to be recycling our used plastic lids through the Lids4Kids volunteer project.

Lids4Kids Australia collect plastic bottle lids from landfill to benefit the environment and donate them to organisation Envision who turn them into mobility aids for children with a disability.
