Ramsgate RSL are proud of our Reconciliation Journey. In January 2020, Ramsgate RSL proudly had our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) endorsed by Reconciliation Australia (www.ramsgatersl.com.au/rap). This important step sees Ramsgate RSL as the first registered Club in NSW to embark on this journey to ensure that together, we can shape a better future for all.
The 2021 National Reconciliation Week theme is “More than words. Reconciliation takes action”. To demonstrate our commitment to Reconciliation, Ramsgate RSL are undertaking the following actions for National Reconciliation Week 2021:
-We have installed new flags poles at the entrance of the club, where we will now fly the following flags; Australian Flag, NSW State Flag, Aboriginal Flag and Torres Strait Islander Flag.
-We have introduced a special range of indigenous design coffee cups. Each cup represents our Club values and was designed by local artist JS Koori Designs.
-Two team members will participate in a Leadership Camp with the youth of charity partner, The Settlement to help the young persons develop leadership skills
